STEPS TO OBTAIN RESIDENT 2-14 LIFE

(INCLUDING ANNUITIES & VARIABLE CONTRACTS) LICENSE:

 

You can consult all the information necessary in the web page of the Department of

Financial Services

1.    Successfully taught or completed a 40 hour life, variable contracts prelicensing course

       within four (4) years of application date.

       You can do it in any online course offered, we suggest Xcel because we have an special

       price:

2.    Create your account in My Profile on the Department of Financial Services Web Page

​

3.    Examination

         

                                                                       Examination Fee $42.00

​

        In order to complete this, do you have to create an account and follow the instructions.         

​

4.    Fingerprints

      

       You must be fingerprinted

     

​

                                                                        Fingerprinting Fee $45.80, plus local Florida county sales tax.

​

       Fingerprint/criminal history results are valid for only ONE (1) YEAR. This means that if an

       applicant applies for another type/class during this ONE (1) YEAR period, he/she will NOT

       be required to file another set of fingerprints unless specifically requested by the Department
       to do so.

       If you want, you can do this process in advance, in order to do the process faster.

5.    You may then go to your My Profile account and apply to your license. Answer all of the questions and

       pay the fees to complete online application.

6.    Print License

       Once all the above steps have been satisfied, the department will send your approval by email.

       You may then go to your My Profile account and print your license.
